My Chemical Romance’s ‘The Foundations Of Decay’ Has Debuted In The Top 40 Of The UK Singles Chart
Welcome back, lads!
SO, as you will all be aware, My Chemical Romance returned with their first brand new music in eight years last week.
It was in the form of 'The Foundations Of Decay', a six-minute dramatic opus full of poetry, darkness, mystery and intrigue.
And whilst it has sent thousands into raptures just knowing that new music existed, it has also made a mark on the charts.
It has debuted at No.37 in the UK Singles Chart, which makes it a Top 40 single instantly.
The band have had eight other Top 40 tracks in their career, the highest placing being 'Welcome To The Black Parade' which hit No.01.
Then there’s ‘I’m Not Okay’ at No.19, ‘Helena’ at No.20, ‘The Ghost Of You’ at No.27, ‘Famous Last Words’ at No.08, ‘I Don’t Love You’ at No.13’, Teenagers’ at No.09 and ‘Na na na…’ No.31.
And with so much intrigued about what the new chapter of the band could be, we could be seeing much more of the band's name making it's way up the top again.
My Chemical Romance's "The Foundations of Decay" debuts at #37 on this week's UK singles chart. It becomes @MCRofficial’s ninth top 40 hit and first in over a decade.
