My Chemical Romance’s ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’ Has Been Certified Gold In The UK
Incredible scenes.
My Chemical Romance's 'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)' has just hit a major sales milestone, 16 years after its release.
According to the BPI, as of October 23 the track has now been certified Gold in the UK - the equivalent to 400,000 sales. This is now the band's third biggest selling single in the UK behind 'Teenagers' and 'Welcome To The Black Parade' which have both reached Platinum status.
The song was, of course, featured on MCR's classic album 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge', reaching a peak of No.19 on the UK singles chart in 2004. It was also the song the band used to open their huge 2019 Return show in Los Angeles at The Shrine.
Let's watch that incredible clip just one more time shall we?
