Memphis May Fire Have Released An Utterly Punishing New Track ‘Blood & Water’
Oh, here we go.
Memphis May Fire are back with their first new music in three years, and they are harking back to their roots in a big way.
The track is called 'Blood & Water' and is a bile-soaked slab of classic metalcore brute force mashed together with the band's ear for a catchy hook.
Between the machine-gun riffs, belligerent breakdown and sneering lyrical takedowns, it's a hell of a return.
Vocalist Matty Mullins had this to say about the track:
"With everything that's happened over the last year, it feels surreal to be releasing new music.
"Creating during a pandemic came with a lot of challenges. But looking back, I think we needed that time off the road to fall in love with writing songs again. 'Blood & Water' is just a taste of what's to come and we couldn't be more excited for the world to finally hear it."

The band released their last full-length 'Broken' back in 2018 via Rise Records.
