Lorna Shore have released their first new music since last year's '...And I Return To Nothingness'.
And it is fucking astonishing.
It's called 'Sun//Eater' and finds the band at their symphonic and savage best, blending triumphant orchestral swells with break-neck heaviness like it is second nature.
Though between the layers of heavenly etherealism, there are also some of the darkest and most despondent breakdowns the band have produced to date.
It is six minutes of some of the most beautifully constructed and wonderfully pulverising extreme music you will hear this year.
And the crazy thing is, this is only a small part of the story.
Vocalist Will Ramos had this to say about it:
“We’re so happy so be able to put out something different and new that further exemplifies who we’ve become as individuals and as a whole. This song/album really brings together everything that we’ve been working towards being and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all.”
Here it is:
It's taken from the band's upcoming new album 'Pain Remains' which they have also just announced
It's set to be released in October via Century Media, with more details set to be released soon.
Drummer Austin Archey had this to say about it:
“It feels like a rebirth of everything for us - the energy, the band, the morale"
For now, here is the spine-chilling artwork:
