As big fans of the franchise it has been surreal to be asked to be a part of its legacy in some small way
If you've been to the cinema lately to check out the latest movie in the Scream franchise, you may have recognised a song playing over the end credits.
That's because it's Salem and their track 'Fall Out Of Love'. But you may have noticed it sounded a bit different.
Well, that new version is now out in the world for you to hear whenever you want now, and it is very dramatic.
Featuring a guest vocal from Carlie Hanson, paired perfectly with Will Gould's icy cold croon, and some extra waves of theatre, it is cinematic punk-rock joy.
Will had this to say about the inclusion:
“It is such an honour to be involved with the Scream movie soundtrack. As big fans of the franchise it has been surreal to be asked to be a part of its legacy in some small way. We couldn’t ask to be featured on a more perfect soundtrack."
And the movies' co-director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, added:
“An intoxicating devil-my-care anthem, an us-against-the-world rallying cry, ‘Fall Out Of Love’ wears it’s sardonic heart on it’s blood-soaked sleeve as it gleefully burns down the very romantic notions it so successfully conjures up with fearless passion and reckless abandon. Equal parts optimistic and cynical, nostalgic and timeless, this bittersweet ode to undying devotion fights through the despair to find hope and ultimately much-needed catharsis. I love this song so fucking much.”
Let's go then:
We chatted to Will all about the track and how it came to be recently, which you can catch up with below:
