An exploration of the sonic textures found on the band's latest full-length 'I Let It In And It Took Everything'
On February 07 2020, Loathe released their second album 'I Let It In And It Took Everything', a record of immense depth and heaviness that pushed the boundaries of what the band were capable in so many wonderful and bludgeoning ways.
A year on and the band has returned to the universe in which that album was made with 'The Things They Believe', an ambient accompaniment that explores and expands on the ideas and textures found in the depths of those guttural recordings.
From the soft patter of the title track, to the heartbreaking tension of 'You Never Came Back' all the way through to the enrapturing 'Keep Fighting The Good Fight' and luscious 'The Rain Outside...', is a bold and beautiful release from a band unafraid to stretch as far as they can go and discover new and exciting things about themselves in the process.
Let the band explain a little further:
"The concept for' The Things They Believe' was born from the incredible response to 'I Let It In And It Took Everything', which became the impetus to extend the identity and timeline of the record. Creating sonic landscapes and parallels that explore and expand further on the areas within 'I Let It In And It Took Everything'. As we release this collection of atmospheres, we hope you lose yourself further within this chapter and, much like our love for soundtracks and soundscapes provides us with solace in times of distress and need, we hope you find comfort inside too.”
