LISTEN: AFI’s Delicately Affecting New Single ‘Caught’

A beautiful leftover from the 'Bodies' sessions.

AFI
have released a new single.

The track is called 'Caught' and is taken from the sessions from their recent album 'Bodies'. The track received its premiere as part of 'Where We Used To Meet', a new short film by Kes Glozier that also features other tracks from 'Bodies'.

Here's the trailer for that film:

Concerning 'Caught', the track is a gorgeously delicate and wonderfully cinematic ballad, full of poetic beauty and lingering heart. It's a different pace for the band, but no less striking and sentimentally stunning.

Vocalist Davey Havok had this to say about it:

“We were really happy with ‘Caught’ and planned for it to be on the Bodies album. We ended up cutting it at the last minute to allow for a better album flow, but still really loved the song. When we started collaborating with Kes on ‘Where We Used To Meet,’ we thought it would be a great context to present the song in.”

And drummer Adam Carson added:

“I really like ‘Caught’ and I fought for it. Even though I didn’t play on it at all, I felt that it was a really good song and would be important on the record. I was crushed when it didn’t make the cut, so I’m happy we are releasing it now.”

We recently put together a special edition of Rock Sound telling the full story of 'Bodies', with beautiful new photos of the band.
