Ice Nine Kills have released a dramatic new song, 'Enjoy Your Slay'.
It's based on Stephen King's classic horror novel The Shining, and sounds like this:
Fans had been offered a choice between a song based on The Shining and one based on Robert Bloch's Psycho, to close the 'Every Trick In The Book' album cycle.
"Being huge fans of not only the novel, but also of Stanley Kubrick's brilliant film adaptation, we knew in order for the song to work we would need to capture the unnerving isolation and traumatizing scenes of horror that occurred on those 447 pages and 144 minutes of film," say the band.
'Enjoy Your Slay' features guest vocals from Sam Kubrick of Shields... who is also the grandson of renowned director Stanley Kubrick, director of The Shining. Small world.
"Being a big fan of their band and Sam's vocals, we knew his inclusion on the song would provide a strong connection to the story's legacy. His performance undeniably adds a layer and depth to the composition that is truly chill inducing."
The horrifying video is directed and animated by the talented John Howe.
Ice Nine Kills hit Bournemouth's Anvil tonight (May 30), before playing the following show with I Prevail and Oceans Ate Alaska:
