Even Mark and Tom got involved...

Blink-182 inadvertently caused a social media frenzy last night (November 19th) as UK and US fans debated over how to correctly pronounce the band's name!

It all started when Twitter user @IanKarmel pointed out a key difference in the way British and American fans refer to the pop punk legends:

Apparently they go for 'one eighty-two' in the states.

Soon, Karmel's boss, who also happens to be actor and TV host James Corden, got involved in the debate:

Safe to say, things started to proper kick off in the replies. Who would have thought a single number could cause such havoc?

Thankfully, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge soon stepped in to calm things down. And confuse us all even further...

Blink-182 just wrapped up their residency of shows in Las Vegas. They are also said to be working on the follow-up to their 2016 album 'California'.
