Signs point to them teasing us.

Earlier this week Green Day announced an intimate, one-off show in Madrid for next week. The show is acting as a warm-up to their appearance at the MTV EMAs in Seville a couple of days later, and tickets sold out immediately.

While seeing Green Day up close and intimate would already be a big enough deal on its own, it looks as if the band have a little more planned to make this a very special occasion.

Earlier this year (February 04, if we're being precise) Green Day's seminal album 'Dookie' turned 25 years old. Quarter of a century. That's quite the milestone.

The world held its breath, waiting for an announcement of a tour, where Green Day would play 'Dookie' in its entirety, start to finish. But alas, the announcement never came.

It all started with an Instagram story post from frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, featuring the Spanish flag on top of the 'Dookie' album artwork:

And then Billie Joe Armstrong replied to a fan account post on Instagram, asking if people would want to hear 'Dookie' played in full, with a winking emoji.

We're already feeling the FOMO.

Pick up your special, collectors' edition Green Day cover of Rock Sound's 250th issue now! There's only 250 of these in existence, and once they're gone, they're gone.
