"Growing up, I always thought it was really cool hearing bands collaborate on stuff..."

Seaway frontman Ryan Locke joined us on the Rock Sound Podcast to reveal how Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo got involved on the band's track 'Scatter My Ashes Along The Coast Or Don't'

"Growing up, I always thought it was really cool hearing bands collaborate on stuff...

"The Beartooth guys are big fans of our band as we are their band... We've done Warped Tour with them, they played Slam Dunk when we played, so we've always got to hang out and party and so I just emailed him asking if it was something he would be interested in and he was like basically right away, 'Yeah, let's do it!' and it was all figured out and tracked and recorded really quickly.

"It was really cool for us too, I feel features aren't really as big as a thing as they used to be, at least not in the pop-punk realm I guess, so having someone like Caleb from Beartooth - Beartooth are obviously a very different band from Seaway - having him come and sing on a song, I thought was really cool and the fans have been reacting to it really well too."

The track is taken from the band's brilliant new album 'Vacation', you can listen to the full interview below and subscribe to the Rock Sound Podcast here!
