Overnight the nominees for the annual MTV Video Music Awards were announced, and it's a bit of a milestone for Fall Out Boy.
Fall Out Boy's video for 'Champion' is up for the category of Best Rock Video, and sits alongside the likes of Panic! At The Disco's 'Say Amen (Saturday Night)', Linkin Park's emotional 'One More Light' and Thirty Seconds To Mars' 'Walk On Water'.
This is Fall Out Boy's eighth nomination at the Video Music Awards since they took out their first moon man in 2005 for their 'Sugar, We're Goin' Down' video. A nod that frontman Pete Wentz took to twitter to acknowledge, saying "The moon man was the first award we were ever nominated for. Really humbling to be included all these years later".
13 years following their first nomination (and subsequent win) at the MTV Video Music Awards, Fall Out Boy have been nominated for the eighth time. In fact, they've been almost consistently nominated during the times the band have been active (we don't talk about the hiatus). A huge achievement.
The band have received nominations every year from 2005 through 2008, and 2013 through to the current ceremony, excluding 2017 when they were busy working on 'MANIA'. Huge.
