Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds On Taylor Swift Tickets Scheme: “This Is Profit Over People”

"She is fleecing her own fans."

Enter Shikari's Rou Reynolds has spoken out against Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster's new ticketing scheme.

Under the system, instead of just joining a virtual queue when tour tickets go onsale, you can register and "improve your place in line by participating in boost activities" before they go onsale.

Those activities seem to involve buying albums and merch, and promoting Taylor's music on social media.

"The most sickening thing is that this ultra-capitalistic exploitation of fans is beneath a veneer of morality - stopping ticket bots/touts," tweeted Rou.

"Bots/touts fleece fans by reselling tickets for a higher price. She's not stopping them, she is replacing them. She is fleecing her own fans."

You can read all of his tweets here.

Rou also shared this dead serious guide to Shikari's own innovative ticketing system.

FYI Rory, we're sending a very long essay on the history of cat videos your way.

Enter Shikari's new album 'The Spark' is out on September 22.

The band tour the UK with Lower Than Atlantis and Astroid Boys later this year.
