Good people, doing good things, for a good cause. You love to see it.
Deaf Havana have announced a UK tour this coming November, in support of War Child - a non profit organisation which helps rebuild the lives of children in war-torn countries.
For every single ticket sold on the tour, Deaf Havana will be donating £1 to War Child, to aid them in the essential work that they do.
The upcoming tour will see Deaf Havana performing in six cities across the UK in November, with frontman James Veck-Gioldi sharing that this run will be the band's final set of UK tour dates on their 'Ritual' album cycle.
Speaking about how the partnership with War Child came about, James shared with Rock Sound, "I met the guys from War Child maybe a year ago. I was aware of the charity but I wasn’t aware of every specific detail of it, like how in-depth they go. I went for a meeting at the offices, and they filled me in on every mission they go on - be it in the Congo or in the Middle East, everything they do is insane. There’s a statistic that one in five children in the world are affected by war. 420 million children worldwide are affected by war conflict, or live in a war conflicted country. When they told me, I couldn’t quite believe it - but I guess that proves my ignorance. I just found the whole thing so heartbreaking. We live in a bubble here, where we don’t even consider that these things are happening right now.
"For us to be working with them once again really is fantastic. There are some amazing people who work there - they really care, and they also really care about music. Music has such a great platform to help people, so to be doing a whole tour in conjunction with such an amazing charity is really humbling to me."
