Chris Carrabba joins country star Brantley Gilbert in his support for the I Believe In Nashville coalition.
Dashboard Confessional are among a group of musicians showing support and raising funds to help victims of the recent shooting in a Nashville waffle house that left four dead and multiple people injured.
Chris Carrabba and country singer Brantley Gilbert recently met with James Shaw Jr who was praised for his quick thinking during the attack on April 22nd after he managed to disarm the shooter and throw his gun out of reach.
Both musicians are performing benefit shows in the city over the next month in association with the newly established I Believe In Nashville coalition. Carrabba and Gilbert will both sell t-shirts, one branded with the words 'I Believe In Nashville' and another with the slogan 'I Believe In Heroism' and an image of Shaw's hand. All profits from the sales will benefit the shooting victims and their families.
Other artists playing shows in the area are being encouraged to join the movement and sell similar t-shirts at their merch stands.
Dashboard Confessional will be playing at the city's Ryman Auditorium venue on May 11th. If you would like to make a donation to the cause, you can get all the information here.
