"People are either going to understand me a little bit more and take a walk through my journey, or they’re not. That’s just the way it is” - Danny Worsnop.

You might know Danny Worsnop as the frontman of Asking Alexandria - but he's also a solo artist in his own right. Now on his second solo album, we caught up with Danny in the current issue of Rock Sound to talk about 'Shades Of Blue', and how it's been received. Pick up your copy of the Waterparks issue of Rock Sound for the full interview from SHOP.ROCKSOUND.TV

Inside the new issue of Rock Sound, Danny shared that Asking Alexandria fans haven't been particularly accepting of the music that he makes as a solo artist.

“No one starts making music so they can be put into a box,” Danny shared. “A lot of people have this shitty elitist view about musicians where they feel like, ‘This is the thing that I enjoy about what they do, so this is the only thing they should do’."

“If you do anything else, it’s betraying and besmirching that thing that they like,” he continued. “A lot of Asking Alexandria fans get really shitty when I do anything that isn’t the version of me that they like, so people are either going to understand me a little bit more and take a walk through my journey, or they’re not. That’s just the way it is.”

Which is a shame, because 'Shades Of Blue' is very good.

This is just a taste! Check out our full interview with Danny Worsnop inside the Waterparks issue of Rock Sound - it's available right now, worldwide from SHOP.ROCKSOUND.TV
