Here's the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman's take.

Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour has responded to Linkin Park's recent comments about 'Hybrid Theory'.

Frontman Chester Bennington had said: "When we made ‘Hybrid Theory’, I was the oldest guy in the band and in my early ’20s. That’s why I guess I’m like: ‘Why are we still talking about ‘Hybrid Theory’?"

"It’s fucking years ago. It’s a great record, we love it. Like, move the fuck on. You know what I mean?”

Speaking to US radio show Shmonty In The Morning, Corey said that "I understand where he’s at. God, I would have never said it the way he did."

"You can get frustrated, and you want people to embrace the evolution. But at the same time man, you should probably be very fortunate that people, this long along the line, still love that music you made."

"For what it’s worth, it’s a great fusion rock album. It’s got pop elements to it, the songs are great… it’s a good problem to have. I understand his frustration but at same time it’s like, 'why would you get mad at your left foot because your right foot is doing pretty good?'"

"It’s weird. Be fortunate for what you have. Be fortunate for the fact that people are coming to see you, to hear the music. You have to give it a little time."

"In retrospect, maybe two or three years from now you put out an album and it makes them appreciate this one more."

"You have to pick your spots, dude, and this is coming from the guy who’s notorious for running his mouth. This is me being completely honest. I totally get it, but yeah…"

So there you go.

Stone Sour will release their new album 'Hydrograd' on June 30. Here's the first single from it, 'Fabuless'.

Linkin Park hit the UK this summer for a few huge shows.
