It was revealed last week by Slipknot percussionist Shawn Crahan that the band's upcoming album isn't finished yet- which raised some questions as to when the album would see the light of day.
Fans need not worry though, as Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has shared on twitter that the band is heading into the studio in January to record the album, and that it'll be out in the middle of 2019.
The tweet came as a reply to a fan who mentioned that previously Corey Taylor had talked about heading into the studio in January 2020- so Corey offered a very positive correction.
No no- 2019. That’s what I said. Recording in Jan. Album out middle of 2019.
Corey's tweets back up Shawn's previous statement, which alluded to the album being released before Slipknot's scheduled live shows next year, sharing "We would never go do (concert) dates without an album, but... we're not following any rules this time, not that we ever did. We're on an outline, and I think everybody's going to be pleasantly surprised."
