A project unlike any other.

Back in 2016 Converge revealed Bloodmoon, a collaborative experience with Chelsea Wolfe, Cave In/Mutoid Man's Stephen Brodsky and Ben Chisholm, via a set of special and emotional shows.

Now the collective has come together for the first recorded piece of their exploratory art.

That comes in the form of 'Bloodmoon: I', which will be released on November 19.

Vocalist Jacob Bannon had this to say about the album:

"Our dynamics are pushing and pulling in all different directions on this record, and I find that to be creatively rewarding."

And Chelsea had this to add:

“The project stretched my vocals in new ways. It’s so different than what I normally sing over that I was able to open up and be vulnerable with my vocals."

The artwork looks like this:

And the tracklisting like this:

01. Blood Moon
02. Viscera of Men
03. Coil
04. Flower Moon
05. Tongues Playing Dead
06. Lord of Liars
07. Failure Forever
08. Scorpion's Sting
09. Daimon
10. Crimson Stone
11. Blood Dawn

You can hear the first taste of the record in the form of the opening track 'Blood Moon', an eight-minute epic of swirling atmosphere, crushing melody and ferocious crescendos.

It is absolutely fucking astounding, to be honest.

Here it is, alongside a haunting video:
