The full unbelievable story inside.

In what is one of the most insane stories to emerge in a long time, Coheed & Cambria bassist Michael Todd was arrested last Thursday for allegedly robbing a Walgreens for six bottles of Oxycontin while the band were on tour in Attleboro, MA.

Leaving the store in a cab to go to the Comcast Center, where the band were opening for Soundgarden, local police tracked Todd down before arresting him and charging with armed robbery and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics.

The band themselves have decided that Michael Todd should stand down from bass playing duties for the rest of the tour. There is no official word on whether or not Todd has been permanently fired from the band but Coheed have issued the following statement on the matter:

“Michael Todd was arrested today on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour. Wes Styles, long time member of the Coheed family will take on bass duties starting tomorrow for the remaining dates. No shows will be canceled.

"We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour. For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax.”
