Capstan Have Released A Funky New Track ‘‘take my breath away // noose’

Another example of how the band are capable of absolutely anything.



Capstan
have shared the second track from their upcoming second album 'Separate', and it's bound to get you on your feet. 

It's called 'take my breath away // noose', and shows off how far the band's musical influences stretch. 

Funk-riddled bass, foot-tapping percussion and the sort of chorus that sits in your head for years, it's a prime example of how nothing is off the table when it comes to Capstan.

Though below the sun-stained instrumental, there's a much more sullen message. 

Guitarist Joe Mabry had this to say about its themes:

"The lyrics are a little more dramatic and slightly more embellished retelling of my relationship. We had some very rocky and toxic points. It's whimsical and playful, but at the same time very serious."

  

'Separate' is set for release on July 23 via Fearless Records.
