The band released a statement on social media.

Broadside have announced the departure of their guitarist Dorian Cooke.

The band released a full statement on social media explaining that "this decision was made on his own accord" and that "this is not the end of Broadside".

Broadside released two new songs earlier this week, 'Empty' and 'King Of Nothing', and will be supporting Set It Off on their upcoming US tour.

Read the band's full statement on Dorian's departure below:

"To our friends and fans, first and foremost, we would like to thank every one of you for supporting this dream of ours. Through your consistent attendance to shows, your energy and engagement from the crowd, streaming/buying our music and for those of you who have chosen to share your story with us. You have helped us grow into better musicians, better men and taught us the power of human connection through music. It does not come with ease to announce Dorian will no longer be with us proceeding forward. This decision was made on his own accord.

This is not the end of Broadside. We will be pushing forward without him as we have studio time, tours and opportunities in our immediate future already booked. We hope you enjoy the new songs. We look forward to seeing you all very soon. To music and chasing the dream! Thanks for understanding."
