A new take on a pop punk classic.
Sometimes a modern classic just doesn’t translate in a modern context. A shining example of that is the Bowling For Soup classic ‘Girl All The Bad Guys Want’ – what even is a ‘two-way’? (It’s a pager, by the way).
Fortunately for us, over Reading & Leeds Festival weekend, Bowling For Soup took some time off from headlining The Pit stage to reimagine ‘Girl All The Bad Guys Want’ for 2019. And it’s actually brilliant.
“8 o’clock, Monday night and I’m waitin’, to finally talk to a girl a little cooler than me,” becomes “8 o’clock, Monday night and I’m on Tinder, I swipe right on a girl a little cooler than me”.
“Her name is Nona, she’s a rocker with a nose ring, she wears a two way, but I’m not quite sure what that means,” turns into “Her name is Ava, she has a choker and a lip kit, She likes Yungblud but I’m not quite sure who that is”.
