The former Blink-182 member is adapting his graphic novel for TBS.

Former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge is developing his own TV show based on his alien-based graphic novel 'Strange Times'.

Variety reports that the series is in development at US cable station TBS with DeLonge describing the concept as "science-fiction Disney":

"This is a dream I’ve had for over 10 years and it’s finally a reality. All the stories and themes I work on are meant to be shared through multiple mediums and on different platforms — film, TV, books, music and so on." he told Variety.

"'Strange Times' began as an interactive website where people shared weird, paranormal stories — a lot of them with credible evidence. That helped inspire the story behind the graphic novel and also a prose novel that I published. This is exactly what my company To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science does."

When asked about the soundtrack, Tom added that he would love to include music by the likes of Bad Religion, New Order and The Descendents.

No potential air date for the show has been released yet but keep an eye out on TBS over the next year for 'Strange Times'.

In the meantime, this should certainly get us all in the mood:
