Yesterday, Green Day made a special breakfast appearance at a KROQ event in Los Angeles, where they performed an intimate seven-song set and were interviewed live on-air.
Following their set, Green Day fielded questions from the audience - which included a question about which Green Day song was their favourite. While Mike Dirnt was coy about picking his favorite Green Day song, and aligned it to choosing his favourite kid (in that he has one, he just doesn’t tell them), Billie Joe Armstrong immediately shared that the nine-minute magnum opus 'Jesus Of Suburbia' was his favorite.
Green Day were also asked for some parenting advice from a member of the audience, who asked how best to raise punk rock-minded teenagers. And Tré Cool's advice on the subject? “Give them freedom to be themselves, support them 100% and remember you are their parent and they’re going to think you’re kind of the dork - so don’t dig what they dig too much or they’ll hate it.”
Green Day are set to release their brand new album 'Father Of All...' February 07 through Reprise Records.
