New music, new approach.

As It Is are currently in California to record the follow-up to their debut album 'Never Happy, Ever After' with producer Mike Green, who previously worked with All Time Low.

In an interview with Punkvideosrock, frontman Patty Walters said that the band "really wanted to break it down and get as transparent and personal as we could."

"We had to write about some darker and more personal things, like our upbringings and relationships with family," he continued. "We dove into our metal health much more than we did on the last record."

"Having that really open environment has helped us create something really personal, but also helped us become closer as a band," added vocalist / guitarist Ben Langford-Biss.

"Before we write these songs about super personal stuff, it always starts with an hour [long] conversation - telling each other things that we don't know about each other."
