How do you improve on perfection? As It Is have done it.

An alternative version of 'Hey Rachel' by As It Is has finally been made available on streaming services. The Jukebox Edition of 'Hey Rachel' was previously only released as a B-side on physical copies of 'okay.' released in Japan, but now everyone gets to enjoy the 50s inspired bop.

The track features Lower Than Atlantis' Ben Samson, and makes you want to go down to the local milk bar, put on a poodle skirt and take up rock'n'roll dancing. It could be straight out of the prom scene in 'Grease'.

As It Is frontman Patty Walters took to instagram to share the story behind the track, stating  “Until now, this 50’s-inspired version of ‘Hey Rachel’ has been an exclusive B-side on physical formats released in Japan. We recorded this back in August of 2016 (I think) with @bensansom87 of Lower Than Atlantis, and he contributed so many cool parts and textures to this song. It feels so weird and wonderful to release this song now, knowing ‘okay.’ so well, knowing how far it would take us, knowing how much it’s come to mean to us all. We really hope you enjoy one last release before a new, very exciting chapter in our band.”
