Yes, you did read that correctly...
In news we did not expect to be writing today, Blink-182's Mark Hoppus has revealed that he once advised a Navy Admiral on the best way to capture former Iraq leader Saddam Hussein. Yes, really.
Mark was responding to a Twitter thread where users reveal "the least plausible story about yourself that's true" when he dropped this enticing detail on all his followers:
On an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf, I told a Navy Admiral on his way to meet with the Joint Chiefs of Staff my ideas on how to capture Saddam Hussein. https://t.co/KsKmZM4DXo— snddoɥ ʞɹɐɯ (@markhoppus) June 26, 2018
Yeah, we're gonna need a follow up conversation on this one Mark...
Fortunately, he went on to explain his plan in full which you can read below:
Wow. That's actually pretty well thought out. Mark really is a man of many talents.
Fans and friends including All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth and Waterparks' Awsten Knight have already sent him their reactions to the news:

Blink-182 are currently working on their new studio album, the follow-up to 2016's 'California'.
