Enter Shikari Drop Video For ‘Take My Country Back’, Announce Details For Summer Gigs

After teasing on twitter that Enter Shikari were heading out on the road for two super intimate UK shows this summer, the band have come through with all the details and a brand new video for 'Take My Country Back'.

Enter Shikari have just dropped the video for 'Take My Country Back', and it's pretty amazing. The video was made by Maks Graur, who's a long-time Shikari fan and got the band's attention when he made an animated video for 'There's A Price On Your Head' (from 'The Mindsweep').

Watch the brand new video for Enter Shikari's ‘Take My Country Back’ below:

Speaking about the meaning behind 'Take My Country Back' Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds said "Unfortunately the sentiment of this track still stands, more than 12 months after I wrote it. if anything, the atmosphere is worse than it was then. an increasingly hostile right-wing media acting as a megaphone for what we now know were exaggerations and outright lies, amplified by fake bot accounts on Twitter, reinforcing the prejudices of the ill-informed. It’s got a big chorus, though”.

Serious stuff.

They've also revealed all of the details about the two super intimate summer shows the band have been teasing on twitter, and tickets are on sale now. Check out the dates below:

JULY
13 - HATFIELD The Forum

AUGUST
10 - SOUTHAMPTON The Joiners

The August gig in Southampton is part of the Music Venue Trusts 'Fightback' series of shows. It's a series of 100 shows in small venues by bigger artists, to highlight the importance of grassroots music venues to the culture and economy of the country, and to raise money for the MVT’s Emergency Fund providing legal aid to venues threatened with closure. So it's pretty cool.
