It's ok guys, we stretched before we made this enormous reach.

Happy Star Wars Day! May the 4th be with you. Because we're celebrating Star Wars day, we've collated a series of songs that explicitly mention some part of outer space.

Get it? Because Star Wars? It's set in space.

01. 'Six Feet Under The Stars' - All Time Low

'What's the relevance to Star Wars with this song?' Guys- the word Star(s) is right there in the title.

02. 'Her Words Destroyed My Planet' - Motion City Soundtrack

Much like the Death Star, according to Motion City Soundtrack her words also destroyed a planet.

03. 'Hometown' - Twenty One Pilots

Hey. Where they're from. There's no sun. (Their hometown's in the dark).

04. 'Another Night On Mars' - The Maine

Mars! A planet! Within the solar system! Out in space! The location of the Star Wars franchise!

05. 'Goodnight Moon' - Go Radio

No specific moon is mentioned in this song. It might be referncing Earth's moon. But it technically could also be referencing any number of moons in the Star Wars universe and galaxy. That's all we're saying.

06. 'When The Day Met The Night' - Panic! At The Disco

While none of the moons or suns within the Star Wars universe have been personified, this precious song about a moon falling in love with the sun makes the cut because there are both moons and suns in the Star Wars franchise.

07. 'Light Up The Sky' - Yellowcard

Know who else lit up the sky? The Death Star.

08. 'Another Girl, Another Planet' - Blink-182

Did you really think we'd make a list about space, and not include Tom Delonge? To quote him in this pretty excellent cover "Space travel's in my blood, and there ain't nothing that I can do about it."

09. 'Under A Paper Moon' - All Time Low

The word moon is RIGHT THERE.

10. 'Ricochet' - Starset

No list about space would be complete without Starset. Bonus that this song also lyrically includes the word 'satellite', so it counts twice.

11. 'The Flight Of Apollo' - Angels And Airwaves

Tom Delonge gets another honourable mention, beacuse of course he does. Dude is obsessed with space. Also this song is woefully underrated.

12. 'Northern Downpour' - Panic! At The Disco

"Hey moon, please forget to go down. Hey moon, don't you go down". 'Nuff said.

BONUS. Literally every song ever by Galactic Empire

If you aren't already familiar, let us just quickly introduce you to Galactic Empire- a heavy metal band that exclusively performs Star Wars covers. In Star Wars costumes.

They also have a new album out today through Rise Records.

Anyway! Happy Star Wars Day! May the 4th be with you!
