Guitar Hero was nothing short of an absolute phenomenon. A chance for us all to feel like a rockstar even if we were just jumping round in our bedroom in our pants. Aside from the classic rock and indie cuts, there were plenty of scene classics to shred to too. Here they all are in one list just for you.

SUM 41 - 'FAT LIP'
The biggest middle finger to society that you could give at the age of 15, Sum 41's adolescent classic appeared on the first GH and made us pogo our jeans off.

SENSES FAIL - 'CAN'T BE SAVED'
Producers of some of the most heartbreaking post-hardcore ever, Senses Fail's broken hymn was a bonus playable track on Guitar Hero 2. Dry your eyes mate.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD - 'THE BEAST AND THE HARLOT'
NEEEER NEEER NEEEER NER NER NER NER NER NEEEEEEEEEER etc.

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - 'DEAD!'
All those rockers jamming Guitar Hero 2 on Xbox were lucky enough to get this as a bonus track while the PS2 players sulked in the corner. Wah.

EVERY TIME I DIE - 'THE NEW BLACK'
Now we're talking. Riffs upon riffs smothered in creamy riff sauce with a side helping of riffs. And for dessert, riff tart and custard.

AFI - 'MISS MURDER'
When AFI were going through their winter phase we were there with them jigging side to side with our plastic guitar.

WEEZER - 'MY NAME IS JONAS'
These OG emos have appeared a few times on Guitar Hero, but it's this slice of noodley loveliness from Guitar Hero 3 that is the most memorable.

GALLOWS - 'IN THE BELLY OF A SHARK'
One of the heavier tracks to appear on the game and one that made us cause absolute carnage everytime we played it on Expert. The dog and cat were moshing and all.

RISE AGAINST - 'PRAYER OF THE REFUGEE'
A jewel in the Rise Against crown, their appearance on Guitar Hero helped to introduce them to a completely new audience.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE - 'MY CURSE'
Every time we decided to give 'My Curse' a spin, we made sure we were wearing a cape so we could pretend to be Adam D. Every since we were little we always wanted to be Adam D. We still do.

BLINK-182 - 'DAMMIT'
Playing pop-punk tunes at 3am forever. Getting a full 8 hours sleep never.

FOO FIGHTERS - 'EVERLONG'
It doesn't get much more classic than this Foo Fighters ditty, and being able to feel like Uncle Dave Grohl from the comfort of your own home is very special indeed.

30 SECONDS TO MARS - 'THE KILL'

One of 30 Seconds To Mars' most dramatic moments and one that is forever engraved into the history of Guitar Hero via World Tour.

JIMMY EAT WORLD - 'THE MIDDLE'
IT JUST TAKES SOME TIIIIIIIIIME.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE - 'SCREAM AIM FIRE'
Genuinely, when you smashed the opening riff to this 100% you could never feel anything less than a god. Then you remember that it's not a real guitar you're holding.

ATTACK! ATTACK! - 'YOU AND ME'
Yes! Welsh rockers Attack! Attack! appeared on Guitar Hero as well. Not to be confused with the crabcore kings, but just as good.

FALL OUT BOY - 'THE TAKEOVER, THE BREAK'S OVER'
Appearing on the brilliantly innovative DS version of the game, FOB had their moment in the Guitar Hero sun too. What a time.
