Gone, but not forgotten.
Oh, Warped Tour. We miss you already.
With the final day of Warped Tour now behind us, we take a look back at how the scene reacted to this chapter closing.
All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth takes a light-hearted approach:
Does anybody know how many days left of Warped Tour ??— Alexander William (@AlexAllTimeLow) 5 August 2018
And the final day wasn't without its share of drama- with Trash Boat suffering their fourth bus breakdown over summer:
Shout out to @TrashBoatUK. Most breakdowns of any band on Warped. And absolutely not one of them was on stage.— josh brozzesi (@joshwithcon) 6 August 2018
But mostly the tributes were touching- take Trophy Eyes who thank Kevin Lyman for the best summers of their lives.
Thank you, @VansWarpedTour, for having us in 2015 and 2017. What a way to experience America and live our childhood dreams. You did a hell of a thing, @KevinLyman. They were the best Summers of our lives.— Trophy Eyes (@trophyeyesmusic) 6 August 2018
Van’s Warped Tour changed my life. It thought me about friendship, hard work and perseverance. I wish I was there today to say goodbye.— John (@JohnFloreani) 5 August 2018
You Me At Six' Josh Franceschi got a bit sentimental
Goodbye @VansWarpedTour You’ve given me incredible memories and incredible life long friends. To have been part of it three times was genuinely something I had dreamt about since Drive Thru record dvd where you were on it. Love ya x— Josh Franceschi (@joshmeatsix) 5 August 2018
Derek Sanders from Mayday Parade was likely a bit exhausted and kept it simple
Warped Tour is now a part of the history books— Derek Sanders (@DerekSanders) 6 August 2018
Same with State Champs' Derek DiScanio
Forever Warped— Derek DiScanio (@dereksteez) 6 August 2018
The Story So Far may not have been on Warped this year, but they still paid tribute to the festival that was
Will anything ever be more iconic than the Warped Tour stage being disassembled as Every Time I Die continue to play around them?
I will think about this on my death bed. And I guarantee I won’t not smile. https://t.co/AjdiMqHFID— jordan buckley (@JordanETID) 6 August 2018
State Champs' Ryan Scott Graham reminisced over the three Warped Tours that he spent out on the road
The Warped Tour was responsible for some of the most incredible growing experiences of my life. 3 truly unforgettable summers that will forever be burned into my memory. Thank you always.— Ryan Scott Graham (@RyanScottGraham) August 6, 2018
Sleep On It's Jake Marquis kept is simple, but still managed to sum up how all of us feel.
Warped Tour is over & I'm sad— Jake Marquis (@jakesonaplane) August 6, 2018
While Neck Deep posted a multi-tweet tribute to Warped, which was so personal and touching it made us a little emotional?
Hard to believe that @VansWarpedTour is over. It was such a huge, integral part of our growth as a band & as people & we made so many amazing friendships in those dusty fields & scorching hot car parks. A true, real world community.— Neck Deep (@NeckDeepUK) August 6, 2018
There's nothing quite like it.
The biggest thank you possible to @KevinLyman & the incredible Warped crew for looking after us in 2014, 2015 and 2017 (+ 2016 for a day). We will never forget those summers & ND wouldn't be the same today without the world you built.— Neck Deep (@NeckDeepUK) August 6, 2018
We love you all #ForeverWarped
But The Maine's John O'Callaghan summed it up best:
R.I.P. Warped Tour.— John O'Callaghan (@johnmaine) 5 August 2018
But we'll leave the last word to Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman:
Wow @VansWarpedTour has just ended and I am watching the last tail lights leave the lot. I have done what I can do and now it is your turn. Do amazing things, much love to those who got it! pic.twitter.com/F3BePvaUX2— KevinLyman (@KevinLyman) 6 August 2018
