World, meet Chicago's 7 Minutes In Heaven. They do pop-punk, and they do it exceptionally well.
Which is why you NEED to listen to their new EP 'Symmetry' right now.
Want more? 'Symmetry' is out tomorrow (September 15) via Rude Records. The band themselves explain everything...
CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT THE THEMES BEHIND THE EP? WHAT DROVE THE OVERALL MOOD OF 'SYMMETRY'? "Originally we were writing for a full length so it's a bit condensed from what we'd set out to do.
"The theme that quickly came about for the record was trying to find a balance in our lives between being on the road, dealing with being home for longer periods of time than we'd grown accustomed to, managing relationships with friends, new friends we've met, and family.
"We had a lot more time with this writing process that the lyrics show more of that reflection period, highs and lows."
A LOT OF THE SONGS SEEM TO BE ABOUT TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR OWN LIFE. WHAT LED YOU GUYS TO THAT POINT? "We spent a majority of the previous year being broken down by life and had numerous ideas put on the back-burner after building up momentum for ourselves which allowed a point to really take a step back and focus on what got us to this point and how to pick it back up."
WHAT HAPPENS NOW? "Touring as much as we can. Our heart is the road but we've got to be smarter about what we do, trying to support other bands for as long as we can as opposed to always headlining / co-headlining.
"We have had many dreams of making it to Europe, UK especially. It's just a matter of time that we get our name spreading overseas to be able to make that a reality."
