In the last 24 hours, Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop has left the band. Some of us have been shocked. Some haven't. Some have started petitions. Some have wished everyone the best.... and some haven't. Here's an overview of your reactions since the news broke.

By now, you should be fully aware that Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop has quit the band to focus full time on his other project We Are Harlot.

Danny made the surprise exit last night with the following statement:

"To all of my friends and fans: I would like to let you know that Asking Alexandria and I are moving forward in separate ways. Over the last eight years together we've done some amazing things and created something truly special. I now, same as then, want what's best for the band and at this point in time, that isn't me. Asking Alexandria will continue to tour throughout the year and will be working on a new album. I will always support and love Asking Alexandria and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them. I am excited for the next chapter of my life with We Are Harlot and will see you all on the road!"

..after which, the band's guitarist Bem Bruce posted a lengthy statement to reassure bands that the band won't be splitting up and they will be revealing a new singer in due course.

"Asking Alexandria will not be slowing down. We are going to tour harder than ever and we are going to write the greatest record of our career. We are extremely excited to announce that we will be spending all summer touring the European festival circuit and across North America on the Vans Warped tour with our new singer, playing a set list FOR THE FANS."

Naturally, the news has been quite divisive. Some people seem truly shocked and saddened by it all:

Others... don't seem that bothered.

Or surprised.

While lots of people just wanted to wish both parties the best.

Naturally, a few people have claimed that they're the new singer.

The best thing we've seen so far? This petition calling for Asking Alexandria to hire Riff Raff (nope, we don't know, either) as their new set of lungs. It reads:

"They are frontmanless and without versace.

They need someone who will tiptoe them in a new direction. The neon icon is the obvious choice. No one else is as strong or talented.

Please consider this, Ben Bruce, James Cassells, Cameron Liddell and Sam Bettley. Not only will you gain a new fanbase but you can change your music style from that god-awful devil music you currently play.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you gentlemen make the right choice."

At the time of writing, it's had over 2,400 signatures.

UPDATE: Riff Raff has now responded to the petition.

And with that, we're just totally done. Well played, everyone. Well played.

Danny Worsnop talks all about his new musical venture We Are Harlot in the latest issue of Rock Sound. You could say he hinted at all of this:
