40. SLEEP ON IT - 'OVEREXPOSED'
It may have been a long year, but you don't want to sleep on these guys. This bombastic debut album is everything an up and coming pop-punk band should be.
39. GREEN DAY - 'KERPLUNK'
27 years ago, the foundations of an empire were put into place. Scrappy, snotty and brimming with punk sass, this is the most pure strain of Green Day that you're gonna find.
38. JIMMY EAT WORLD - 'BLEED AMERICAN'
We defy anyone to say that Jimmy Eat World haven't earned their spot on this list, even only taking in to account 'The Middle'. Anthem. Absolute anthem.
37. WITH CONFIDENCE - 'BETTER WEATHER'
This debut shot the Australian lads in With Confidence in to our consciousness. And apparently yours as well!
36. A DAY TO REMEMBER - 'FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HEART'
A benchmark in crossover pop-punk. Passionate, brutal and effortlessly catchy, many have tried to replicate the earthquake that this classic caused and failed miserably. Accept no imitations.
35. THE STORY SO FAR - 'UNDER SOIL AND DIRT'
The album that changed the tide for modern pop-punk. Biting, bullish and at times simply beautiful, The Story So Far sure made a statement with this one.
34. SUM 41 - 'ALL KILLER NO FILLER'
Far from just a title, Sum 41's debut record is so full of hits it's almost unholy. Altogether now "I DON'T WANNA WASTE MY TIME".
33. NOFX - 'PUNK IN DRUBLIC'
Pioneers. Influencers. Legends. NOFX changed the game with 'Punk In Drublic' and never looked back.
32. AS IT IS - 'NEVER HAPPY, EVER AFTER'
Where it all began. Heartfelt, heartbroken and overflowing with hearty choruses, this was As It Is' first step to domination.
31. SIMPLE PLAN - 'NO PADS, NO HELMENTS... JUST BALLS'
Before they took over the world, Simple Plan released an album that was just about cheeky enough to work. 16 years old and still fresh as they come.
30. SEAWAY - 'VACATION'
Full of throwback goodness and romantic intentions, Seaway's third effort is more fun than a barrell full of puppies.
29. NEW FOUND GLORY - 'STICKS AND STONES'
It doesn't get much better than this. Preppy and punchy, this is the brightest star in New Found Glory's universe.
28. STATE CHAMPS - 'LIVING PROOF'
Heading further down the pop path but still delivering the goods, Champs' latest opus has the makings of being a blueprint for future bands.
27. STATE CHAMPS - 'THE FINER THINGS'
If you like moments that make you want to finger point until your hand falls off, then this is the record for you. 5 years old and more vital than ever before.
26. KNUCKLE PUCK - 'COPACETIC'
An internal look at the workings of the human psyche with enough bite to make it stick. A rickrolling debut from one of the finest of the future worldbeaters.
25. BLINK-182 - 'DUDE RANCH'
24. MAYDAY PARADE - 'SUNNYLAND'
Though only just released, Mayday's latest throwback release has the makings of becoming a classic.
23. BOWLING FOR SOUP - 'DRUNK ENOUGH TO DANCE'
Just stupid enough to work, BFS were on their finest form with this shithousing epic.
22. THE WONDER YEARS - 'THE GREATEST GENERATION'
With the power to make the most steady of hands shake uncontrollably, The Wonder Years set a new benchmark with this emotionally relevant number.
21. A DAY TO REMEMBER - 'HOMESICK'
Loud, proud and full of promise. This is the moment that A Day To Remember went from contenders to champions.
