It's been 11 years, and we're stll not over it.

You've likely seen the photo before. You may have even been aware that Fall Out Boy were dressed up as Panic! At The Disco. But so often the story of how this came to happen is lost to time.

No longer.

We're here to tell the story.

So it's the Halloween of 2007, Joe meets Patrick and he's like- just kidding. But it was the Halloween of 2007. Fall Out Boy were playing a headline show at The Fillmore in Miami. And they pulled the best practical joke ever.

As the lights went down at The Fillmore that night, an announcement was broadcast over the PA informing the crowd that Fall Out Boy would not be performing as Pete Wentz had fractured his foot. But there was good news! Panic! At The Disco were stepping up to play instead.

Cue the opening notes of the Panic! At The Disco classic 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies', and the lights going up to reveal Fall Out Boy, in full Panic! At The Disco costumes, covering 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies'.

Iconic. Incredible. Amazing.

Patrick Stump took on the role of Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie, while Pete Wentz painted his face in proper Ryan Ross style. Truly, a moment.

Check out a fan video of the moment the lights went up to reveal Fall Out Boy's Halloween costumes:
