Inside the magazine, we speak to Lynn about the Artist Of The Year award. You can read everything inside the magazine, but here's a taste for now...
THE REACTION AT YOUR SHOWS BEFORE 'ALL WE KNOW OF HEAVEN, ALL WE NEED OF HELL' DROPPED WAS WILD. WAS THAT NERVE-WRACKING OR WAS IT JUST AMAZING TO RETURN AS GENUINE STARS?
Says Lynn: "It felt great but it also felt so scary again because it was one of those things where it didn’t feel like we were ready, and even though it had been almost a year since we’d been back or since we’d been over [to the UK], it felt like it was way too soon.
"It felt like we were just there and it was like, ‘Oh my God, we’re not ready yet!’ because we’d just been working on the record non-stop, so there was like no break for us.
"It didn’t really seem like we’d gone away as much as it did I think to everybody else, so it was definitely like a weird moment of, ‘Oh wait, these people have been waiting for this long even though we haven’t really gone anywhere!'"
HOW CATHARTIC HAS GETTING TO PLAY SONGS LIKE 'WHAT'S WRONG' AND 'HALF' LIVE?
“When we were first in the studio we wrote ‘What’s Wrong’ and I wrote the last line of the chorus, ‘I don’t need a metaphor for you to know I’m miserable’.
"I remember being so scared to sing that, but also just kinda pushing myself back and being like, ‘Yo, this is how you feel - just say it, this is real and people will understand that’.
"It was for sure very cathartic and scary, but I’ve always been told if you’re doing something and it’s not scaring you, you shouldn’t be doing it or if you’re doing something and it’s scaring you, that’s a good thing – at least in terms of our writing."
IS IT ALSO A TESTAMENT TO THE STRENGTH OF YOU THREE? IT FEELS LIKE YOU'RE HERE BECAUSE OF YOUR STRENGTH AS A UNIT...
“Definitely, I feel like on this record we’ve all reached a really crazy, almost... not telepathic, but this very, very deep understanding of each other and how we tick, and I think that’s just really strengthened things for sure.
"It’s been really cool, I think all of us are still very much in our own world as much as we are together but we’re all in the same thing and this is very prevalent now, we’re very aware of it and it’s really cool.
"Every night when we huddle before we go onstage we’re like, ‘Oh hey! Hey what’s up! We’re about to do this’. I feel like from day to day sometimes you forget what you’re doing and how crazy it is and I think we all have this moment before we go onstage especially where we all reach in for the huddle and we’re all just like, ‘Oh wait, this IS crazy, we’re doing this still!’”
