Yeah, it's a banger.

It's an absolutely pleasure to be able to introduce you to Ryan Oakes with his new song 'BURNOUT'.

A vibrant, energetic and self-deprecatingly fun pop-punk banger, it shows off Ryan's insatiable voice and songwriting prowess in the most direct and brilliant way possible.

And then there's State Champs' Derek DiScanio dealing out his distinctly rousing vocal, bouncing off Ryan wonderfully.

And THEN there's the video, full of mischief and mayhem as the pair run around without a care in the world, remembering how it feels to be a kid with the world at their feet.

Plus spot a certain Ryan Scott Graham and Ronnie Ish in Ryan's band.

Ryan had this to say about the track:

“'Burnout' is a special song to me because people spent ten years telling me what I can and cant accomplish without a record label when it came to my music. It’s a victory lap of a song in a sense that I got one of my favorite pop punk bands, State Champs on it and even sweeter that they are singing “look how it all turned out”! It all works out in the end and this song confirms that!”

And this about the video:

“The 'Burnout' video was a blast to film. It brings back the free spirit of being a kid and running around being a hood rat, which is the perfect vibe for the song. I had a blast spray painting my own car and egging my own (old) home for the sake of the video. What made it even cooler was the wonderful people I’m surrounded with in the video- the guys from State Champs joined in for it as well as my friend Ronnie from As It Is and the amazingly talented Brittany Bowman on drums! It turned out great and I hope you enjoy it!”

Oh, and the 'BURNOUT' EP is set to be released on August 19. Put it in your diaries.
