The band's new EP 'This World of Ours, It Came Apart' is just around the corner.
We are delighted to be premiering the video for 'Kids', the latest single from Watford indie-emo sextet Lakes.
Whilst the track twinkles with delicate guitar plucks and emotive vocal refrains, the video shows off the band's photo albums, from family portraits to holiday memories, in beautifully moving fashion.
It all culminates in an experience that feels reflective and touching in a way that we can all associate with.
The song also features an appearance from ex-Real Friends vocalist Dan Lambton.
The band have explained just how they got Dan to appear on the track:
"We met Dan through Instagram after he tagged us in a photo of a tattoo he had just got of the artwork from our debut album and some lyrics from our song "Ontario". This obviously blew our minds!
We met up at the Real Friends show at The Electric Ballroom in London and he was the absolute best host and kindest man. We stayed in touch and we are so honoured to have him sing on this."
How lovely is that!
Have a watch and a listen below:
The track is taken from the band's upcoming EP 'This World Of Ours, It Came Apart' which is set for release on July 24 via Know Hope Records. It serves as the follow-up to the band's debut record 'The Constance LP' released last August.
The artwork for it looks a little bit like this:
