This is My Favourite Record- the feature where we give band members the chance to gush about the music that they love.

Because everyone has a favourite record. Even band members. Especially band members.

This week we talk to Crown The Empire frontman Andy Leo, whose favourite record of all time is the Green Day classic 'American Idiot'.

WHEN IS THE FIRST TIME YOU HEARD THE RECORD?
I would watch music videos every morning before school on MTV when I was 11. When I heard 'American Idiot' in rotation, my face melted.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST ACQUIRE IT?
I got it as a Christmas gift along with a Tom DeLonge signature guitar from my parents (that I still own it to this day).

HAVE YOU SEEN IT PERFORMED LIVE IN ANY CAPACITY?
When we played Download Paris last year and holy hell...

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TRACK OFF 'AMERICAN IDIOT'?
'
Holiday'. It had one of the first pseudo-breakdowns I’d ever heard of the radio.

WHY IS THIS RECORD SO IMPORTANT TO YOU?
It introduced the idea of anarchy and a “fuck you” attitude to a pissy suburban teenager.

Hard to argue with such great taste.
