Hey everybody! Earlier this week it was Tay Jardine's Birthday! To celebrate such a special occasion we have scoured the Internet for some of the best examples of music which include just her and a guitar.
JUMPER (THIRD EYE BLIND COVER)
When we are snowed in and bored we usually binge watch Brooklyn Nine Nine and drink our bodyweight in hot chocolate. Not our Tay though. She picks up her acoustic, channels her inner 90's and busts out a beautiful cover of a Third Eye Blind classic. There aren't many people who could turn an alternative anthem into something this beautifully emotional, but that's what makes Tay so special.
LOVE STORY (TAYLOR SWIFT COVER)
Before Taylor Swift was the all conquering pop sensation that she is today, she was penning cutesy country jams like this. Sharing a similarity in lyrical loveliness to that which We Are The In Crowd churned out, this live cover performed by Tay and Jordan was always going to work out wonderfully.
GREEN LIGHT (LORDE COVER)
If there was a voice in pop that resembles Tay the best, it would be probably New Zealand's greatest export Lorde. Light, passionate and soulful all in equal measure. So by joining forces with Alex Goot, the soft patter of synths and beautiful piano compliment Tay's impassioned tone wonderfully. Pop perfection if we do say so ourselves.
JUST GIVE ME A REASON (P!NK & NAT RUESS)
Having a sing song with Alex Goot once more but with the rest of We Are The In Crowd with her too, Tay takes on this emotional jam from the mind of P!nk and absolutely smashes it. If that's a tear in the corner of your eye, don't worry you're not the only one.
I'LL BE (EDWIN MCCAIN COVER)
We all love a bit of 90's balladry don't we? With a few less saxophones than the original 1997 version but with no less heart flutteringly loveliness oozing out of every paw, Tay and Jordan once again absolutely smash it out of the park with this session for Glamour Kills.
GRENADE (BRUNO MARS COVER)
Bruno Mars is a proper cutie isn't he? He just knows his way around your heartstrings. So with his romantic intentions in tact, Tay and the We Are The In Crowd lot manage to put their own spin on to this wedding playlist classic, once more for Glamour Kills.
