From MCR and Paramore to Hey Monday, the teen singalong series had its fair share of scene cover versions over the years.
Today is the 10th anniversary of the premiere of Glee. 10 entire years. Where has the time gone?
Everyone remembers 'Glee' right? The tale of a bunch of rag-tag kids singing and dancing their way through high school lasted for six seasons, delivering peppy versions of all manner of pop classic. And, yes, that does include a few Rock Sound faves among the bunch.
So, whether you loved it or hated it, let's get nostalgic shall we? Here are a handful of times that 'Glee' went full scene:
My Chemical Romance - 'Sing'
Probably the most successful of their scene covers, MCR's anthemic single certainly fits the vibe of a big choir cover.
Paramore - 'The Only Exception'
Lea Michele puts those Broadway-quality vocals to work with a big ballad take on Paramore's acoustic classic.
The All-American Rejects - 'Gives You Hell'
Lea again, running through the pop punk tune like she's starring in a teen TV series about a high schoo...oh wait, she is.
Halestorm - 'Here's To Us'
Wow, Lea really did a lot of big tunes on this show didn't she? Fair play, she's got the pipes!
Gym Class Heroes - 'Stereo Hearts'
Travie McCoy's crew gets the 'Glee' treatment with this version of their Adam Levine-assisted single.
Hey Monday - 'Candles'
Darren Criss and Chris Colfer take centre stage for an acapella singalong that will make you weep dammit.
