"Hello readers of Rock Sound webbery! Below is 'Necromania', the opening track from our yet to be released album 'Militia Of The Lost', it’s a pretty important song as it kicks off the concept that flows through the entire album. It sets to music a violent conversation between a revolutionary terrorist (The Necromantic) and an evil politician in a city called Grandomina, which is part of this whole Gothic alternative history we’ve created.
When it came to the music we wanted the song to be a real thrasher to match the anger and anxiety in the lyrics, as behind this whole concept it's fundamentally a song about the fear of death. It ended up being the heaviest song on the record and is definitely a big nod in the direction we're headed.
The rest of the songs on the album continue the dystopian tale of Grandomina, a city state walled in by terrible thunderstorms and unspeakable terrors, but we guess you’ll have wait for the album to hear about it in all its glory. Must go, we've a steam powered pheasant to fight..."
