With 12 years and 15 videos to consider, this list has not been taken lightly.

Here they are, all 15 My Chemical Romance music videos. Ranked.

15. 'I'M NOT OKAY (I PROMISE)' [VERSION 1]
It's the alternative version. It's good. It's charming in the way that it's shot in first-person perspective. But one video has to bring up the rear, and it's this one.

14. 'HONEY THIS MIRROR ISN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR THE TWO OF US'
Scrappy, endearing and apparently shot on a toaster- it's a good starting point for My Chemical Romance, but there's no plot, no narrative and no storyline.

13. 'PLANETARY (GO!)'
The first video from the 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys' album that doesn't follow the Killjoys story. It's fun, but it's just a live video. It's very well done and makes you want to dance. But it lacks plot.

12. 'THE KIDS FROM YESTERDAY'
Ranked so low purely because it's made to make you cry.

11. 'VAMPIRES WILL NEVER HURT YOU'
It feels like this was also filmed on a toaster. It's incredible how much technology has developed in the past 16 years.

10. 'I DON'T LOVE YOU'
This little black and white masterpiece is beautifully shot, but lacks a little pizzazz. It gets bonus points for the dramatic shots of the band members falling from a height, and for Frank Iero launching his guitar through a glass partition, though.

09. 'TEENAGERS'
We have questions. Why are My Chemical Romance performing in a school assembly? Why are the teenagers in gas masks? Why does all hell break loose? Is Ray Toro okay?

08. 'SING'
They didn't have to go as hard as they did in this video, but we appreciate that they did. The body-bag shot was entirely unnecessary, but it gets extra points for the commitment to the Killjoys / B/L/I/N/D narrative.

07. 'FAMOUS LAST WORDS'
We'd believe it if we were told that they spent their entire video budget on pyrotechnics for this. Both Gerard Way and Bob Bryar sustained injuries during the shoot for this video, but we'll call it loosely worth it on account of the fact that it's a pretty damn good video.

06. 'NA NA NA (NA NA NA NA NA NA)'
This baby kicked off the 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys' album cycle with a BANG! Introducing us to the characters and the plot, it laid an important foundation for not only the album, but the follow-up comic book series that Gerard Way wrote within the same universe. It's bright, it's eccentric, it's exciting, it's nerdy. It's a great video.

05. 'HELENA'
We can all agree that all funerals could be improved with a synchronised dancing troupe.

04. 'WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE'
This kicked off 'The Black Parade' album cycle in style, and really set the tone for the following couple of years. Complete with side-characters, a death-parade and military uniforms- it's brilliant.

03. 'THE GHOST OF YOU'
This one is literally a feature film, complete with heartbreaking story-arc. It's a masterpiece, pure and simple.

02. 'I'M NOT OKAY (I PROMISE)'
It's essentially the trailer for a movie that never was. It has everything a fantastic music video needs- it's a teen comedy with themes of love, loss, revenge, and most importantly romance. Get ready to feel the romance. My Chemical Romance.

01. 'DESOLATION ROW'
Not what you were expecting? Shocking that, given that 'Desolation Row' is far and away the best My Chemical Romance video. This video has everything- it has plot, it has tension, it has My Chemical Romance looking punk as hell. It's time that 'Desolation Row' got the respect that it deserves. This is the hill we will die on.
