Because sometimes it's nice to talk about something other than music.

Devil You Know have a new album out. We've chatted with frontman Howard Jones loads about music in the past, so we figured we'd have a chat about his other love - fishing.

Here's what we learned.

FISHING IS GREAT

"The first time I did it I was just a kid," begins Howard. "I actually don’t mind spending time on my own. I just went fishing and started catching stuff..."

...EVEN IF YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN

"You can fish with friends but it’s also just a great solitary sport, and catch and release is just a lot of fun!"

...BECAUSE EVEN METAL DUDES NEED TO RELAX SOMETIMES
"It’s definitely a cool way to decompress and forget what it is you do for a living and enjoy being outdoors instead of being inside a club or wherever you may be performing at," explains the frontman. "It definitely makes you appreciate being outdoors a lot more."

IT'S EASY TO GET, UH, HOOKED
"I liked fishing, but the more I tried it, it just became an obsession," Howard reckons.

A LITTLE TOO EASY

"I’ve definintely missed a band meeting and an interview or two just because I was fishing and lost track of what was going on," he chuckles.

FISHERMEN ARE EVERYWHERE... IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO LOOK
"Our bass player Ryan is very much into fishing too, so we’re making plans," says Howard, adding: "I flew to Alaska and went fishing with Brock from 36 Crazyfists. We went halibut fishing. It was blast!"

PEOPLE WILL BE SURPRISED THAT YOU'RE INTO METAL, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER
"Most prople have no idea what I do for a living, but it doesn’t really matter what you do when you’re out on the water."

HE FISHES THE HUMANE WAY
"
If you do keep it, eat it. I’m not going to catch something and keep it as a trophy. You usually take a quick picture and throw it back."

So there, that's why Howard Jones form Devil You Know loves fishing.

Devil You Know's new album 'They Bleed Red' is out now via Nuclear Blast.
