Because rock star pets deserve love too.

This is Band's Best Friend, the weekly feature where we we profile the furry friends behind the bands.

This is where we find out a little about the four-legged, furry, feathered or spikey friends of our favourite bands.

This week we get to know Of Mice And Men's Aaron Pauley, and his pup Daisy!

NAME: Daisy Bear Pauley
AGE: 4
BREED: Boston Terrier
HOW WE MET: My fiancee surprised me by jumping the gun on getting us a dog without me, while I was on Warped Tour. The dog was going to be a birthday present to myself after Warped, but it ended up being an even better surprise when I came home to my lady, my new apartment and new pup, after a very successful summer on Warped. I'll remember that day vividly for the rest of my life.
LIKES: Her Mom and Dad, people, dogs, cats, fetch, peanut butter, the beach, garden hoses, going on 'ventures, cuddling.
DISLIKES: Squirrels, the vacuum, baths, when I leave for tour.
GREATEST MOMENT: The first few times we took her to the beach, she was very unsure about the water, but she was so curious. While playing fetch, the ball ended up in the surf and was being tossed by the waves. She ran into the water, rescued her ball, and swam back and gave it to me, all while I was 100% sure I was going to have to jump in and get her. She was just a little pup, but brave like a bear!
BIGGEST MISHAP: It's common for Boston Terriers to have what's called a luxating patella, or "trick knee." Their kneecaps can move, which makes them hike their leg up and not want to use the affected hind leg. She played so hard at the beach that she ended up wearing the groove that holds the kneecap in place, and had to get surgery to keep her knee in place. She's now healthy and happy, but her fetch and play time has to be limited, and she has to take vitamins for her joints. She's a trooper though, and was back to her chipper self a couple of weeks after the surgery.

We love Daisy.
