RSPROMOTES: Beer-chugging metal + a healthy dose of WTF = this.
Hard-hitting Milwaukee metal band Audacity have unveiled a video for their song 'Sink'.
True to form, a party starts during the clip. Then ends. Brutally.
Intrigued? We thought you might be. Here's what the band had to say about the clip.
LOOKS LIKE A FUN VIDEO SHOOT! HOW DID IT ALL COME TOGETHER?
"When we were thinking up ideas for the video our drummer and bassist had just moved into a new place. After going over a few venues the shoot sort of became their housewarming party. Had a few good friends come out, have some beers, and get a little wild for the camera. A little difficult to organize but definitely a fun time."
DID IT GET OUT OF HAND?
"A few things got a little dicey throughout the night. The TV being smashed in got some glass flying and a small fight had to be broken up. You know, normal party stuff. Burning the couch was certainly the most dangerous thing we've done in a while. For some reason we thought nothing of it when the idea came up. 'Yea man. Burning things is rock n roll. We'll just douse it in some lighter fluid and light 'er up! Throw some water on it after the shot. It'll be fine! No worries.'
"Turns out couches burn a lot faster and hotter than we thought. Luckily we were at least smart enough to have some fire extinguishers with us."
WHAT'S THE SONG ABOUT?
"The song was written about having a hard time letting go. If you can't let go you look for a crutch. You'll always be searching for alternatives to feel better. A lot of those things can lead to causing even more problems for yourself and leave you feeling empty. That then leads you to more and more risky behavior. You're stuck in a downward spiral. 'We all make our own hell.'"
WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU GUYS?
"We have about 20 songs demoed now for an album. We're hoping to push this single and get enough money together to start recording the best 12 of those. All of these songs are certainly next level for us, so we're hoping we'll be able to start booking some tours as well. We're incredibly excited for the future."
