When it comes to producing ground-breaking music videos that are better suited to the big screen, Thirty Seconds To Mars have it covered. From being cornered by an army of thousands to Kanye West, you don't get much more dramatic than these masterpieces. Here are the 12 videos that have earned Jared Leto and Co. countless awards.

THE SONG: 'Capricorn (A Brand New Name)'
THE VIDEO: Playing about in some mud is as good an intro as any, but what most people don't know is that this is actually the alternative version of the film Holes. If you squint hard enough you can just about spot Shia LaBeouf (you can't, really).

THE SONG: 'Edge Of The Earth'
THE VIDEO: Every band has to have their live montage video and Thirty Seconds To Mars is no exception. It's not as cutting-edge as some of their other stuff, but it's worth it for the hairstyles alone.

THE SONG: 'Attack'
THE VIDEO: The first single from the album that catapulted Thirty Seconds To Mars into stardom... but it looks a bit like someone took a pen and attacked their video reel. Either that or there's some sort of Paranormal Activity type-thing going on. Let's hope it's the former.

THE SONG: 'The Kill'
THE VIDEO: All work and no play makes Jared Leto a dull boy. The craziest part of this video isn't the blood or even that guy in the bear costume, it's how quickly that fight between Jared and his clone escalated. Steady on, son.

THE SONG: 'From Yesterday'
THE VIDEO: This is the first ever American music video to have been shot entirely in China. That is an actual fact, and the end result is as epic and as grand as it should be.

THE SONG: 'A Beautiful Lie'
THE VIDEO: Shot 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle in Greenland, some of the proceeds from the sales of this video went towards the Natural Resources Defence Council. So, you get to watch a cool video and know you're helping the environment at the same time. Which is cool.

THE SONG: 'Kings And Queens'
THE VIDEO: It seems like the Tour De France went a little off course in this video, but the streets of LA aren't exactly a bad place to be in. Just a few traffic safety issues to iron out and you're set.

THE SONG: 'This Is War'
THE VIDEO: It does what it says on the tin. The trio find themselves on the set of Black Hawk Down... but with a twist. This is war...with a floating magnetic pyramid? Sure, Jared. Sure.

THE SONG: 'Closer To The Edge'
THE VIDEO: Another live montage video, but on a much larger scale than 'Edge Of The Earth'. The band has grown, The Echelon is bigger than ever and so is Jared's hair.

THE SONG: 'Hurricane'
THE VIDEO: It's 50 Shades Of Mars. There's no other way to put it, really. And this is the censored version.

THE SONG: 'Up In The Air'
THE VIDEO: If someone was to say that they absolutely understood what was going on in this video, they'd be lying. You've got Dita Von Teese, olympic gymnasts and a very dramatic shot of a zebra. Very dramatic. Just sit back and watch the spectacle.

THE SONG: 'City Of Angels'
THE VIDEO: The phrase "go big or go home" comes to mind here, but it seems like Mars got to do both. This video is just a testament to how long Thirty Seconds To Mars' contacts list goes. Seriously - who else could get Superman in for a cameo?

Thirty Seconds To Mars are currently touring the US alongside Linkin Park and AFI on the #carnivorestour
