Microwave Share Details Of New ‘Let’s Start Degeneracy’ Album

Microwave have shared details of their long-awaited fourth album, ‘Let’s Start Degeneracy’.

The band’s new record will arrive April 26 via Pure Noise Records, and has been prefaced by new single ‘Bored Of Being Sad’.

‘Let’s Start Degeneracy’ is said to be full of revelations from vocalist and guitarist Nathan Hardy’s experiences with ayahuasca in Peru, along with drummer Timothy ‘Tito’ Pittard.

As the pandemic finished, the two reconvened with bassist and vocalist Tyler Hill and, together, found their way back to being Microwave again.

The album’s title is another drug reference, taken from a conservative politician’s views on drugs in 1970.

Speaking of the album as a whole, Hardy has explained:

“It’s about letting go of attachments and behaviours that aren’t serving you and trying to shake off your programming and not be motivated by fear and guilt and shame.

“It’s about learning to be happy and take care of yourself.”
