If you have a rule book then throw it away now, you won’t be needing it. The follow-up to their ‘Join The Q’ debut sees The Qemists retaining the genre-busting, idiosyncratic joy-splosion that defined them the first time round. Think you know The Qemists? You don’t. Each track exists independently, each thrumming with its own unique inertia. Dance music that rocks? It’s been done many times before, but this fizzes with an energy and ingenuity that aligns them with early Utah Saints, back when this style soundclash wasn’t considered the done thing, but, hey, that’s progress for you.
